Winter Meeting Minutes

Gotham City Land Cruisers Annual Meeting – 1/17/2015

• GCLC President Rich Casella called the meeting to order and started with a general welcome to all in attendance
• 1 BOD member was absent from this meeting – Nick Pearl was unable to attend due to work obligations

Financial Report by Jon

• 2014 resulted in a net loss of ~$287 for the year
• CMCC 2014 cost ~$12,000 and the club netted ~$2,000 profit from the event
• Changes were made for CMCC ’14 format which added to total expenses
• GCLC has been slowly losing money over the past few years, and new measures will be put in place starting this year for long-term financial stability of the club

Membership Report by Mark

• Currently 50 paid members – down from last year’s 80 members
• Looking to expand club activities to non-wheeling events (i.e. car shows, etc.) – if anyone has suggestions please bring them to Mark’s attention
• Registration will be open for new/renewing members following the meeting

TLCA Update by Tom

• Ross Woody is staying on as TLCA President
• Currently less than 4,230 members
• TLCA BOD is currently looking into ways to increase members
• Exploring ways to give more/be more involved with clubs and sanctioned events, but would ask more from the clubs in return
• TLCA is looking for a turn-around in 2015

Website Update by Rich

• Transition is complete to new club website – www.gclcli.com
• Currently 60-70 members have joined the website
• Looking to setup more member discussion options on the site
• Event/member galleries are slowly being migrated over to new site

FOOD

Ran out of forks!

CMCC 2015

•  Dates for event are July 15 – July 18
• Event HQ will once again be Twin Grove campground
• New event artwork was introduced, as created by JP Robinson
• Event dates have already been cleared with Rausch Creek ORP
• Status of general tent camping area is still in question due to Twin Grove’s continual construction
• Club staff to update membership once details have been confirmed with Twin Grove
• Mark Woytovich has reserved a number of cabins already – some will be used for GCLC staff accommodations
• If anyone is interested in taking over one of the pre-reserved cabins, speak to Mark about transferring reservation
• Club staff to look into camping areas for those members with trailer-mounted roof top tents as there seemed to be communication issues with Twin Grove staff
• Event registration is not yet fully operational – Rich Casella expects it to be complete within 1-2 weeks

Vendor Update by Marie

•  46 contributing vendors for CMCC ‘14
• Currently over 200 vendors in club database
• Always looking for more help in soliciting vendors for events

• Dave’s Place (Cairo, NY) – Memorial Day weekend
• CMCC (Rausch Creek) – 7/15 through 7/18
• Dave’s Place (Cairo, NY) – Labor Day weekend

• YT Fall Gathering (Hancock, NH) – TBD
• BBRC Fall Crawl (Gore, VA) – TBD

Discussed possibility of moving Labor Day weekend to Rami’s Place

Merchandise Table by Mike

• Introduction of new long-sleeved “Got Rocks?” tees and GCLC ball caps
• Display of past event tees, club tees, stickers, etc.
• Sales will be open at the conclusion of the meeting

Re-introduction of ALCA

•  Appalachian Land Cruiser Association is coming back to life
• Changing club name to Keystone Cruisers
• Keystone Cruisers will be looking to help GCLC with CMCC tasks to know what goes into event planning and execution
• Keystone has a monthly ride on 3^rd Saturday of every month

General Elections

• Rich Casella announces that current President Rich Casella, Vice-President Jon Held and Secretary Chris Hauser are stepping down
• Rich asks the membership for nominations for these positions
  • Carl Surface nominated Chris Hauser for President
    • Motion is seconded, and voted in by show of hands
    • Chris Hauser accepts position
  • Carl Surface nominated Steve Scott for Vice President
    • Motion is seconded, and voted in by show of hands
    • Steve Scott accepts position
  • Carl Surface nominated Bob Lopez for Secretary
    • Motion is seconded, and voted in by show of hands
    • Bob Lopez accepts position
  • Jon Held was not vacating his position as Treasurer, but the membership was asked if anyone was interested in running against him
    • No nominations, so Jon remains as Treasurer

Floor is opened up to general questions

• Status of Cruise Moab 2015 trip is brought up
  • Most, if not all, planning on making the trip have backed out

Raffle

• Everyone in attendance received one raffle ticket
• Mark introduced the club’s newest supporting vendor – AutoAnything.com – who contacted the club directly and supplied us with some great auto detailing products for today’s raffle
• Items included off-road lights, gift basket from Olive That And More, Moonlight Marinades trio, auto detailing products, gift certificates for FJNE event and CMCC ’15 and GCLC apparel
